Description
For hundreds of years the Hudson River has been a pivotal connection to the world. The creation of the Erie Canal in the early 1800s played a major roll in the development of the economy for areas stretching from Lake Erie to Long Island. Canals were soon expanded putting barges in very high demand. Over decades, many of the abandoned barges that were left along the Hudson began deteriorating, leaving a graveyard of history. These beautiful salvaged vessel’s pieces are here to continue to tell the tales.
